and blood on the concrete
they scream their rage into the sky
and you name them your queen

libra is the cold steel of a knife
and they choose their wielder well
the handle digs patterns into your palm
and they laugh as you grip it tighter

scorpio is a starless night sky
everlasting and dark as coal
you know the splatterpaint lights will return
yet you still feel cold

Sagittarius
sagittarius is the scratch of a pencil on paper
as they create the monsters they see in their dreams
they say their life reflects upon the sheet
but their face is all you can see in the winding lead

Capricorn
capricorn is an ill-fitting suit
snug in the wrong places and loose where they shouldn’t be
they tell you not to worry as they down another shot
the night will help them heal

Aquarius
aquarius is a pair of beating wings
they raise themselves above the rest
and you tell them to watch the skies
one bad storm could bring them crashing down

Pisces
pisces is lightning incarnate
beautiful and quick and hot to the touch
they leave a thundering roar in their wake
and sometimes you hope you get struck
